A Charming Dive into History

Our stay was delightful! The grand entrance set the stage, but the true gem was the cozy, clean Queen Room. Don’t miss the local Diamond Grill for a quick dinner—it’s just around the corner. Pro tip, grab some beignets the night before if you’re an early riser!

The stay was enjoyable, primarily due to the fantastic historic charm and comfortable surroundings. The restaurant served delicious food, and the location made it easy to explore the local attractions. However, the dining experience had some hiccups, with parts of the property feeling a bit worn down. Overall, it was a pleasant experience that took me back in time.

The queen room with two queen beds offered comfortable mattresses and a clean environment. The high ceilings and tall windows gave the room a spacious feel. Enjoyed the delicious focaccia bread at the restaurant, making dining a highlight of the visit. Although parking was initially confusing, we found that the street offered plenty of options. The historic charm throughout the property added a unique touch to our experience.

Oh man, the culinary scene here is fire! The lamb lollipops and charred oysters at the Mirror Bar were outta this world—definitely worth a return trip. Plus, the mini museum showcasing Omar Bradley's history added a quirky touch to the dining experience.

On the flip side, my room could’ve used a little TLC. The shower head was a nuisance, and the curtains didn’t block much light—made for some tricky sleepin’. A microwave would’ve been nice for those late-night pizza leftovers, too.

The bathroom in the Queen Room could use some serious attention, with a malfunctioning fan that left it steamy after showers—definitely not ideal. The shower head was massive but provided unexpectedly low pressure, requiring quite a bit of movement to get wet. Plus, I noticed the curtains failed to keep out sunlight, which made sleeping in challenging. On another note, I missed having a microwave to properly enjoy any late-night leftovers.

Our group had an amazing time exploring the historic area! The original decor had a charming vibe. We walked 10 minutes to nearby attractions and enjoyed delicious lunch in the restaurant. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay, making everything easy for us.

The main level had some closed areas, which felt a bit neglected, and the front desk looked a bit makeshift.

the room was kinda noisy with the a/c unit buzzin' all night , but the bed was super comfy, the decor is really charming and there's a bunch of cool historical stuff around. the restaurant had some tasty food too!

The brunch was delicious, and I loved the charm of the carved molding and stone floors throughout the hotel. Enjoyed relaxing by the garden and listening to live music in the evenings. The hot water was a bit inconsistent, but it didn't take away from my overall experience. 😊
